BHS Senior Leaves a Legacy
Destiny Obioha graduated top of her class and is now a student at Florida International University. As the vice-president of the Brandon High School chapter, she became one of the girls that everyone looked up to. Her kindness and willingness to help was met with her profound work ethic that helped build the program at the school. She is the type of student that every teacher wants in their classroom and that every girl wants as a friend. We are so thankful for the hard work she put it in to making BLOOM Girls Club at Brandon High a place where so many girls felt safe. Most importantly, BLOOM impacted her in so many ways that have pushed her to dream and fight for her worth in all she does. Destiny was provided with leadership and public speaking trainings, college and career counseling sessions, and different experiences inside and outside of school like a night at the Straz! We got to witness someone who found their voice and used it to build her future and help others. Because of this, she was selected as the BLOOM Senior Scholarship Recipient. We are so proud of her and thankful of the community support that afforded us the opportunity to invest in her college education. Can’t wait for Destiny to be a famous film director! WE KNOW SHE WILL BE! :D
